North York Arts in collaboration with @reelasian invites community members of all ages to join
us for the City Summer Soccer Celebration, a three‐day series of arts and culture activations
inspired by the global excitement of the soccer season.
⭐️ Gibson House Museum – June 13th and 27th
🎨 NYA will host three different local artists each day at the Gibson House Museum. Visitors of
all ages can drop-in to enjoy soccer‐themed art activities to take home such as:
🎏 Flag Making
⚽ Soccer Ball Keychain Making
👕 Jersey Decoration
🎨 Watercolour Painting Station
🖌 Acrylic Painting Station
✨ Soccer Doll Crafting

🎥 Reel Asian will be showcasing a curated screening of short films by local artists and The
Animation Project participants inside Gibson House.
⭐️ Mel Lastman Square – June 20th
North York Arts and Reel Asian are partnering with @yongenorthyork to present a special,
free community event to celebrate the festivities of the soccer season.
🎥 Watch a community outdoor screening of the beloved film “Bend It Like Beckham.”
⚽ Join the community in watching the live soccer match between Germany and Ivory Coast.
🎨 Get creative and show your team spirit by getting hands-on in a variety of free,
soccer-themed art activations.
🍿 Family DJ show, inflatable bouncers and much more!
