Community Map Project

As part of the action plan for the Arts Connects program, we identified a need to better understand the Indigenous and environmental landscape of North York. 

This project would have 3 phases:

Phase 1: Research and Development (including Indigenous history, stories, physical landscape such as lost rivers and travel route)

Phase 2: Consultation with researcher and lead artist/ artist development of work

Phase 3: Community engagement, an Indigenous cultural day of learning  and unveiling of the map
