DESCRIPTION:Hangar Skate – March Break Programming\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Hangar Skate is returning for weekends this winter! \nJoin Northcrest and North York Arts for this free outdoor ice skating in the soon-to-be reimagined Hangar District and skate right outside the expansive 80\,000-square-foot airplane hangar. \nThis year\, we’re offering more programming for the community to enjoy. Whether you’re a music-lover planning a unique date night\, a beginner keen to find a new hobby\, or a parent searching for kid-friendly activities\, there’s something for everyone. \nNo skates? No problem. Skates are available for rental again this year: $5 for adults and free for children under 12 years old. We look forward to seeing you on the ice! \nThe Hangar District in Downsview \nAcross from 95 Garratt Blvd \nFrom January 19 – March 17\, there will be open skating on Saturdays and Sundays: \n\n\n\n2pm – 5pm (free skating lessons available\, details below)\n6pm – 9pm (with an immersive light show on the ice in front of airplane Hangars)\n\nNew to skating? Is there Parking available?\n\nFrom Wilson Station: Board the 118 bus towards Thistle Down via Tandridge. Get off when you get to Wilson Ave at Garratt Blvd. From the bus stop\, head east on Wilson Ave toward Thistle Down Blvd. You’ll need to walk for about 11 minutes (approximately 800 meters).\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need to bring anything to participate?\nSkates are available to rent for $5\, while supplies last. To avoid the potential wait\, we recommend bringing your own skates and helmets.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be food available for purchase?\n\nThis year\, there will be a food truck onsite selling hot and cold beverages as well as light snacks. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks\, but note that food and drinks are not permitted on the ice.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAre there helmets available to rent?\n\nA limited amount of helmets will be available for rent\, while supplies last. Please note that children under the age of 12 are required to wear a CSA-approved helmet while on the ice\, and must be supervised by an adult. We recommend you bring your own.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be washrooms available?\n\nYes. Portable washrooms will be available on-site.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be lockers available to rent?\n\nLockers will not be provided. We recommend bringing only what you need to the event.
