Who We Serve
NYA serves individuals and communities located within North York’s 11 wards.
We provide inclusive arts events and programs to youth, families, and seniors with a focus on programs to serve the Newcomer and Neighbourhood Improvement Area communities. In addition, we provide services and programs to support both emerging and, established local artists and arts organizations.
The 11 wards located in North York are: 8, 9,10,15,16, 23, 24, 25, 26, 33, and 34.
What We Do
NYA connects the community to festivals, arts events and programs. Join our community network, and sign-up for our free e-newsletter. Enjoy arts programming throughout the year. Our programs and events cater to all ages, interests and artistic skills.
NYA offers marketing and promotion services for artists through artist profiles and event coverage in our e-newsletter and local media plus networking events, volunteer calls and space to support the North York’s arts community.
NYA produces outstanding professional development programs and workshop opportunities for artists and the community working with skill-based programming partners and facilitators.
NYA celebrates the rich diversity of arts events and talent in North York by working in partnership with artists, City Councillors, community events and arts organizations to highlight the arts outside the core of Toronto.
